My Makeup Story

1. How old were you when you start wearing makeup?
Wellllllllll for the longest time I thought I was only a lipgloss addict, but that was because I wasn't allowed to wear makeup before I was 18, and when that birthday hit, all hell broke loose. So I was 18

2. How did you get into makeup?
I started making money, plain and simple. I was always interested in makeup, but had to pay for it myself, and when I was 18 I got a job and bam! Every Friday was makeup day.

3. What are some of your favorite brands?
Wet N' Wild definitely! If you read my blog or watch my YouTube videos you know I am all over that brand. I also like L'Oreal, ELF, Physicians Formula, Cargo, Urban Decay, Stila, Too Faced

4. What does makeup mean to you?
It is the way I can express myself. I was always on of those people who wanted to wear the crazy clothes, cut and dye their hair, get facial piercings or tattoos that can be seen when wearing clothes, but I was always to afraid, but with makeup, it's like art. I can be creative, crazy, colorful, muted, av-ant garde and its not permanent so I'm not afraid, because at the end of the day I can take it off....... Then do it all again in the morning :)

5. If you could only wear four products on your face what would they be?
Eye shadow, mascara, eye liner, lip gloss

6. What is your favorite thing about makeup?
That you can use it to express yourself, or give yourself a little boost.

7. What do you think about drugstore makeup vs high end makeup?
I am pro-drugstore. Yes I do buy high end makeup, but drug store brands are really stepping up their game, and sometimes the drugstore products are better than the high end!

8. What is one tip of advice you can give to a beginner?
Practice!! The saying practice makes perfect was created for a reason. If you're new to makeup then you're definitely not gonna be perfect at it, heck, you might not even be that good. But don't give up! Find the perfect technique for you and never give up

9. What is one makeup trend you never understood?
Baby blue frosty eye shadow with baby pink lipstick; Extremely over plucked and overly dark eyebrows; brown lip liner with clear lipgloss

10. What do you think about the beauty community on YouTube and Blogger?
I'm not really sure I can pinpoint a certain aspect, I love everything. and for every hater or someone who causes drama, there are 10 people supporting you and having your back. And even though it is competitive to be the first with the idea, or the most creative, most interesting, most of the people are very happy to give advice
I didn't get tagged, I just didn't for funsies, so I'm not tagging anyone. Just do it! You'll like it :)

*NEW* New Hair Using Punky Colour

SO I'm not sure I mentioned it on this blog, but for the past couple weeks the ends of my hair have been pink due to the fact that I dip dyed my hair a bright, almost neon purple using Splat! hair coloring kit. I was in LOVE. The kit came with bleach which I was skeptical about because typical at home bleaching kits never worked on my hair. But I decided to give it a try. And to my surprise the ends of my hair actually turned to a light white, the bleach worked! So my hopes where very high for the color after that and the color was outrageous. Take a look:
The color was gorgeous. But then the let downs began. I noticed (and maybe people agreed) that i dyed too little of my hair. This picture is at an odd angle so it doesn't show how long my hair actually is and how odd it looks to have such a tiny portion dyed. And then after my very first wash a few days later, that purple was gone, replacing it was a light, washed out pink. The Spalt! doesn't last!
So after two weeks of my disappointment I decided to dye it again. Turquoise and purple, which was my original idea. My friend recently dip dyed her hair a blue so I asked her what she used and she recommended Punky Colour. She said the color lasts better so I was sold. Now take a look:

I thought the color was going to be more true to the sticker on the cap, don't get me wrong because I love how it turned out, it just didn't turn out like I expected. The color is more true to the underside of the cap. Take a look:

I love it and think it looks like candy. My friends like it but still call me My Little Pony. HA
I parted my hair in half, and from there made 8 little pony tails on each side of my head, placing the hair tie where I wanted the color to end. Then i took every other pony tail and pinned it to the top of my head so I could dye the strands blue, after I got done with the blue I switched gloved, unpinned my hair and put the purple in and waited 30 mins. The color came out amazing, and has lasted longer than the Splat! so far. Even the Turquoise was able to cover up the pink in my hair without any problems.
I love it.
What do you think?
