Back to Blogging

After Blogger deleted all the pictures on my blog, twice, I threw my hands up and said "fuck it, I'm over this" I came to that conclusion after about 3 days of crying over something I considered my baby, something I put so much effort and time into. My boyfriend was confused why I was crying over "just a blog" as he put it. So I gave up. But after a little while of testing the waters again I think its time to come back. Blogger hasn't deleted my avatar picture and its been there for about a month so im going to put up a test picture and when Im satisfied ill be back!

Update about pictures.

Blogger decided that my newer pictures should also show up as invalid, so while this people at this company work out all the problems they have, i'm going to try to move to a different blogging site that won't ruin my entire blog

Urban Decay Book of Shadows IV Review

This was a love at first site palette. I have been lusting over this palette since it was released and immediately rushed to my ULTA when I found out they finally had it in stock. I needed to swatch it and see it and drool all over it, plus I had a hundred dollars burning a hole in my pocket. But when it came down to it, I couldn't justify play $64 for a palette, even if it was filled with lots of goodies. Instead I bought some drugstore goodies, and dinner, and clothes.
I regretted it the next day.
And ever since then I would go and look at this palette online and just dream about when I could get it.
After Christmas Urban Decay put the palette on sale for about $40, and with an extra coupon I got another $15 off, how could I say no that. I ordered it immediately after Urban Decay sent me the email.
It comes with 16 eye shadows, I consider them mostly neutral, 1 liquid liner in Perversion, travel size Primer Potion, and Supercurling Super Curl Mascara and mini speakers for your phone.
Thats amazing.

So I consider 10 of these shades to be more neutral, and I actually like it better than my NAKED palette. I think the neutral colors are more the kind I lean towards and there are 2 taupes. LOVE!
The only problem I have is that Midnight Cowgirl and Midnight Rodeo have CHUNKY glitter in it.
EW
I think the colors are gorgeous and I use them, but I hate that if I forget to tap tap tap my brush, I'll have glitter on my face all day
Because we all know that glitter is like herpes.
You just can't get rid of it.
Anywho...
I actually found my perfect neutral, cat eye look with this palette.
The liquid liner is one of the best I have ever used. The color just goes on so smooth and so pigmented. This is why people invest in expensive liquid liners.
I don't like the mascara. Plain and simple. It doesn't curl and barely holds a curl.
The Primer Potion is amazing. Of course.
And the speakers are a great little bonus.
I LOVE this palette. The shadows are pigmented and beautiful. It is definitely worth the money.

Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Shadow Review

Can you say obsessed?
Because that is what I am when it comes to these new cream gel shadows.
I was obsessed ever since I started hearing about them online a few months ago, and seeing them pop up on blogs about a month ago, and I just KNEW I HAD to have them. So after traveling to 8 CVS', 2 Walgreens, a Rite Aid and a Kmart, multiple time I might add, over the course of December, I found them, and so far have only gotten 3.
I picked out the 3 that I knew I would use as bases if they didn't make it as straight up eye shadows.
(Tough as Taupe, Bold Gold, Bad to the Bronze)

(Tough as Taupe, Bold Gold, Bad to the Bronze)

The one I think is going to be the most popular is Tough as Taupe. I mean, that was the color I was specifically on the hunt for.
Tough as Taupe: This is a creamy looking grey/purple taupe that is completely matte. I thought for sure that this one would be one Maybelline would make shimmery or satiny, but no, matte, and its amazing. This is a great shadow for everyday use, or if you want something you can do very quickly. It is also a great base for other taupes. What i like to do it put this all over my lid, the then I take a shimmery taupe color and put that one the center of my lid. Its the best.
Bold Gold: This is pretty standard when it comes to shadow collections. There is almost always a gold thrown in. This is very pretty, metallic,  but it is typical. The only thing that makes it stand out is that it is new, and its paired up with the amazing formula that are these shadows. Plus its a great base to make any powder gold shadow look INSANE. It Doesn't look too bad on its own either.
Bad to the Bronze: This is also a metallic shadow, which i like because it goes with the gold even more so. It is a coppery bronze, so I was afraid it was going to look more orangey on me, because that tends to happen, but on my skin it turns darker, to a more brown bronze.

The formula of these shadows are amazing. I'm not so sure about the 24HR claim, because after about 10 hours the color seems to look intensity, giving it a faded look. But it doesn't crease, or transfer, or smudge once it sets. Its creamy to the touch. I find it better to use your fingers when applying this product, it transfers from your finger quite well. I also love that it comes in a glass jar. I only wish that there was a greater color range, but I'm sure Maybelline is going to release more colors.

I am absolutely in love, obsessed, with these shadows.
Highly recommended to EVERYONE.

NYX Butt "Naked" Eyes Palette Review

This is one of the coolest palettes I have ever bought. 15 neutral NYX quality eye shadows, 4 blushes, 1 bronzer and 2 highlighters. This is a neutral lovers dream palette and way more afforadable than the NAKED Palette. Plus there is an amazing taupe in here that will make your hearts melt.
Now what this palette has the the UD NAKED Palette doesn't, is a wide range of neutral and matte shades. This palette provides a more natural look, so there won't be any glitter fallout with this palette. Plus you get deep shades to create a great smokey eye. I find the palette to be pigmented, but on my super fair skin I wouldn't expect anything else. I fear that on darker skin tones, the shadows will appear more sheer.

I love this palette. I see myself reaching for it often, especially since you can create a full face from this palette. My only problem is that the one and only bronzer is too orange for me. Oh well. I found this palette at ULTA on sale for $20, but I believe its originally $25.

Pros: wide range of neutral shades, light to dark, matte to satin, cool and warm tones. Pigmentation. Blushes and Highlighters. Sturdy, Portable. Affordable.
Cons: orange bronzer. Sheer on darker skin tones.
Hands down, I love this palette, and recommend it.
