maybelline dream mousse concealer

Let me start off by saying that I am so excited for June 9th! I have an interview with Macy's to work at one of their beauty counters. This is my dream job, selling makeup, talking about beauty to people and doing makeup on others! I can't wait! :)
So why not do some reviews in order to celebrate even getting a chance to interview.
This is my all time favorite concealer, my HG concealer if you will. Its not too watery and its creamy enough to blend out beautifully. Unfortunately this product is discontinued. BUT! Luckily it is in stock in BigLots. I have backups of this concealer that I bought at BigLots.
Anywho, the consistency is very mousse-y? Which is really cool to me. Its like having a whipped product, which it helps it spead and blend more effortlessly. Its the perfect under eye concealer and around the edges of my nose concealer but its far to dry for my already dry blemishes. But that doesn't even matter to me because I bought it to be and under eye concealer and it does its job!

The only problem for me is that it settles into the fine lines under my eyes, so if I don't use a foundation or tinted moisturizer you'll notice those fine lines, but every other, crappier concealer does that on me. It also dries to a nice matte finish on me which I enjoy because I don't want more notice to my under eye area.

Theres nothing to dispute, besides being too dry for my  dry blemishes this is the perfect concealer. And even though it is discontinued I recommend finding a BigLots and stocking up!

L'Oreal Voluminous Curved Brush Mascara

This is one of those many products that people rave about and swear by, and though most of the time I find that its nothing but un-warranted hype, I agree with all the raving.
One day I was at my friends house, just watching her do her makeup, waiting for her to finish so we could go do whatever we were doing and I noticed her lashes. Long, thick and very curled. Granted she does have blue eyes and I have noticed that girls with blue eyes have longer lashes, in my opinion at least. I still had to know what mascara she used and she told me L'oreal Voluminous, which I have never heard of before. Actually before that I never really used any other brands for mascara besides CoverGirl. But she also told me that i had to get the curved brush kind, because "its all about the curved brush"
So what did I do?
I went out and got it the very next day.
And maybe I can now contribute to the raving myself since i just finished my third tube of this mascara!
I also have to thank my friend, because it really is all about the curved brush.
This mascara separates, lengthens, and adds volume to my lashes. It also holds a curl as well as my lashes will allow. And while all this is happening, my lashes still look soft, they even feel soft. The formula on me never flakes or clumps, nor does it smudge, and I don't use water proof formulas. The only thing bad is that, in my experience, it dries out too quickly.

I wish my camera was able to take pictures of my lashes better so I can show a picture of how my lashes look with it on, or even a picture of my friends amazing lashes.
But all I can say is that I highly recommend this mascara. If I could only pick one mascara to use for the rest of my life, it would be this one.
Two thumbs up

Makeup For Christine

So one of my best friends since I was about 15 has asked me for some makeup ideas for work, school and then fun. And I LOVE it because she was the one who taught me about foundation and eyeshadow and that you need mascara, lol. Because before her I did nothing, I even let her "make me over" during lunch.
so lets start.

These will be the expensive ideas, which is good because the quality will mostly be better and wear better, but the price might be too much so I'm also throwing in cheaper alternatives!

1.
The Too Faced Natural Eye Kit, which is perfect for work, and can also give you a more dramatic eye for night. 9 neutral shades, 1 applicator. $35

2.
Urban Decay Naked Palette. The prettiest palette I ever saw. 12 beautiful neutral shades to give you that beautiful day eye and then easily transforms it into an evening eye. Comes with a brush and primer potion. $48 and harder to find.

3.
Pop Beauty Bare Texture Kit. 39 eye shadows, mostly neutral, but some bursts of color so you can have some fun with your neutral eye. Comes with a brush and eye shadow primer. $28

4.
NYX Nude on Nude kit. And just like the Too Faced palette this has 9 neutral shades, and its called a dupe for the Naked Palette and the Natural Eye Palette. But at only 11 dollars its a steal! The colors are pigmented and amazing. It also comes with 2 lip colors and applicators. Its also compact so you can throw it in your purse or school bag.

5.
Physicians Formula Custom Eye Enhancing  Shadow and Liner. There are 4 different palettes for each eye type (above is the natural hazel) and they range from natural to candy colors, all to fit your eye color. Comes with an applicator.  $11

6.
Maybelline One by One Volum' Express mascara because during the day for work or school I think its better to have a more natural looking lash, which would be more full, and not intense length, and this mascara is clump free and gives amazing volume! $8

7.
Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express, and this is the mascara to get that dramatic, long and flirty lash. $7

8.
Wet N' Wild Color Icon 6 pan palette, and I suggest getting all the palettes. They come with 3 matte and 3 shimmer shades, and the colors range from neutral to fun purples and blues to random. They're are comparable to MAC and a fraction of the cost. $3

9.
L'Oreal De-Crease Eye Shadow Primer. If you wear eye shadow, you need a primer! It keeps the colors true and vibrant and prevents fading and creasing. I can't fathom spending alot of money on this so the L'Oreal is perfect. $8

9.
Milani Liquif'Eye eye liner pencil. Comparable to Urban Decay 24/7 liners in texture, vibrancy and lasting power. Glides on Smoothly and stays put. $6

10.
Wet N' Wild Mega Liner liquid liner. Liquid liner is needed to give you that dramatic eye that pencils just can't achieve. And if you don't want a dramatic eye, they have some pretty fun colors. $2

~For lips i like it keep it nude, or peachy. My favorites are Revlon's ColorBurst Lipstick in Soft Nude or the gloss in Coral Reef. ~

I Love you Christine and if you want to Know about anything else I know you'll ask. :)
