Too Faced Perfect Lips Lip Liner

Lets just jump into this. I had a lot of expectations for this lip liner because it was
A. a high end brand name
B. promises to do alot
C. a brand I absolutely loved
But I was let down
I received this in Too Faced's Gorgeous Lips Everyday Kit. It was about 30 bucks but I love their kits and when I saw it I was definitely going to get it.
This is what Too Faced promises:
Your One & Only: The only lip liner you need, regardless of lip color. Perfectly In Place: Anti-feathering, waterproof formula wont fade, budge or smudge.

Anti-aging: Natural antioxidants and Vitamin E protect and moisturize, preventing lips from aging.

Protects & Hydrates: Jojoba Oil nourishes, smoothes and soothes for a perfectly in-place pout.

Effortless Application: This creamy, natural liner glides on smoothly while the
sleek, fine tip allows for precise application

So does it do as it promises?
For me, thats a no.
My lipstick feathers and bleeds out when i use this, its like I didn't use a lip liner at all. It dries out my lips horribly, even if i moisturize my lips first. It was creamy at first, but by my second time trying it it was hard as a rock, and equally as hard to sharpen. I tried to give this product a good go, but I'll be honest, I hate it, its awful.
I don't have any pros for this product. I understand that it could be different with a different person, but I won't use it again, and i won't recommend it.
I won't even put in the effort to put my thumbs down.

Things I'm Loving From The Drugstore *Warning Picture Heavy*

These are just the few items that have been a staple in my routine as of late. I have branched out from these items at times, but not often.
1.
This is a Sally Hansen hair remover wax strip which i absolutely love. You rub the strip between your hands to warm up the wax, pull the sides apart and viola! Wax strips that works. I do my own eyebrows and this is my secret little helper.

2.
Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer in Fair/Light
This is the coveted Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer, and it has been discontinued. :( Boo. This is one of my favorite concealers of all time. It really does feel like mousse. Its goes on smoothly and doesn't crease. Its perfect for my dark under eye circles.
3.
Maybelline One by One in Blackest Black
The Maybelline One by One is the newest mascara to their Volum' Express line and I am completely obsessed with it. The formula works very well on me and the brush does find every lash, and gives it volume. Theres no length with this mascara but I rarely look for length.
4.
L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes in Blackest Black
The Voluminous Million Lashes by L'Oreal is my second favorite mascara, and i use this off and on with the One by One. This mascara adds just a little volume, but mostly it gives me length, and can hold a curl. I'll even deal with the smell because i like it so much.
5.
This is my HG nail polish. Kiss Me Here by Pure Ice. I was really obsessed with grey nail polish, not silver, and not with any shimmer or glitter. Just a flat grey with a cream finish. But I just wasn't able to find the right shade that didn't cost more then 6 dollars. Then one day at Walmart my boyfriend picked this up for me and I couldn't be happier.
6.
Japonesque Precision Eyelash Curler is A-MAZING! For some reason I have never been able to find an eyelash curler that curls my lashes properly, they never seem to fit my eye right. I thought I was going to be stuck with no curl to my lashes. But I saw this and am in love. Its so perfect for me
7.
Hard Candy Sheer Envy Face Primer, which is considered to be a Smashbox PhotoFinish dupe, but honestly, I think its better. The Hard Candy primer is light and smooth and just helps my foundation look flawless. I even got my Aunt to use it. She loves it too.
8.
Hard Candy Glamoflauge in Light
Hard Candy Glamoflauge! This may be the best concealer ever, to me at least. Its a little more watery than the Dream Mousse, but its still creamy. And its heavy duty, i mean it could be considered a tattoo concealer. Thats pretty crazy amazing.
9.
Wet N' Wild Mega Liner in Brown.
This is one of the cheapest liquid liners on the market, and honestly one of the best. The formula is great, and the brush is thin so it can give you a precise line. I'm a huge fan of felt tip liquid liners because I have a hard time with any others, but this is the only regular brush liquid liner that i have full confidence in.

10.
N.Y.C. Lipstick in Sheer Red
This is the best red lipstick off all time, in my opinion, and probably in the opinion of a lot of other girls too. I mean its so creamy and fits me so perfectly.
11.
N.Y.C. Liquid Lipshine in Brighton Beach Peach
This is my new favorite spring lip gloss. The color is a perfect shade of peach on me, I love the smell and the taste is mild. There is shimmer, but with this gloss i don't mind it.

12.
Wet N' Wild Eyeshadow in Nutty and Brulee
These two shadows are perfect examples of how amazing Wet N' Wild is getting. They're super soft, and pigmented, and these colors create my favorite 3 minute eye.

13.
NYX Nude on Nude Natural Look Kit
This is my favorite D/S palette. A lot of people say its a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Palette, but I think its a mix of colors from the Naked Palette and Too Faced's Natural Eye Kit. The colors are pigmented, blend-able, soft and just amazing.

14.
CoverGirl Single Eyeshadow in Tapestry Taupe
This is my favorite all over lid color when I have to leave quickly and am only using one color. The color is flattering and buildable

15.
L'Oreal True Match Roller in Soft Ivory
This a perfect item for beginners who don't know how to use liquid foundation.
It goes on pretty sheer, but is build-able. It blends effortlessly for me and the rollers is amazing.

Going One by One: A Mascara Review

I woke up on this Sunday morning to a gloomy, rainy Southern California day, watching stories on the SyFy channel about alien abductions and dragon theories. This made me want to do a mascara review, what else?
The newest mascara to the Maybelline Volum' Express line is the One by One.
Maybelline claims to, and I quote:
"Finally, bold volume without any of the bulk.
• Patented Lash Catcher™ brush has 3 bristles per lash to make every lash count
• Catches, coats and de-clumps each lash to make them all fatter and flirtier
• Instant clump-free volume
• Contact lens safe and ophthalmologist-tested
• Washable, also available in Waterproof formula"
Just look at the brush.
The tube is in the lines signature shape, with a red bottle and turquoise lettering. The brush is about the same size as The Colossal Volum' Express brush but is fatter in the middle and tapers at the ends. The brush is plastic and had many little bristles to "catch, coat and de-clump"

So the question becomes: does this mascara work, or is it forgettable?
Well, this mascara is my new favorite mascara. It does everything as it claims. Those extra little bristles really do grab onto each lash to separate and define them. The formula is thick but it does not clump and it definitely adds volume. It doesn't promise to add length, and for some people it doesn't, but for my short lashes they do! And it can hold a curl!
Just take a look at the pictures, and see for yourself.

Why hasn't this mascara been around my entire life?
My absent minded boyfriend even commented on how luscious my lases were looking.
The bottom line is i have no cons for this product. For me, its all pros.
I highly recommend this mascara.
Two thumbs, two hands, two arms way up

My Beauty Fast Wish List

I am on a makeup fast. I say its for Lent but I'm not religious so its mostly for my boyfriend. Ever since my moms death in early October I have been going over board on the makeup spending, much to the horror of my boyfriend. Though the money I spend is most of my own, he would rather have me buy anything else with it. So I told him that I was going to go on a makeup fast, for lent, because I think 40 days is a good amount of time.
I don't think I could have picked a worse time to start. New Spring collections are coming out and Spring sales are starting, I obviously did not think things through properly. I am dying to go and look at the sales and new collections but I know if I do, I'll buy something, and I like to keep my word. So I'll grit my teeth, and bear through it, making to sure to keep away from drugstores, and Ulta. But it has been a little easier since my boyfriend bought me the Too Faced Natural Eye Kit and the Urban Decay Naked Palette, two items I've been lusting over, and he says it doesn't count towards my fast.
But just because I received those items doesn't mean I'm not drooling over anything else, because I truly am, and I made a list of the things I want the most once these 40 days are up.
1. The China Glaze Crackle Glaze, in pretty much any color. But I for sure want the black. And some spring/nude colors. Hell, I want every color.

2. Pop Beauty Bare Texture Kit. I have never tried the Pop eye shadows before, but I hear good things, and I love nude shadows with a pop of color, so this kit is just perfect. I mean, look at that electric blue!

3. Garnier Skin Renew Anti Dark Circle Eye Roller. The name pretty much explains it, I have dark circle, that are pretty much permanent. I have never been able to sleep or do anything to get rid of them, I mean there are photos of me as a kid with them.

4. If you haven't heard of LiLash go look it up! This thing is a miracle worker. I have seen many videos on it, read many blogs, and this seems to be the lash enhancing product for me. It is quite expensive so thank goodness for this fast, I'll be saving money.

5. This will be my first MAC item and I think its a good one. Versatile. Great reviews. Done.

Those are the top five things but yes there are more.

6. NYX Glitter Liners
7. Rimmel London Moisture Renew Gloss
8. Sigma Brushes (any, preferably a kit)
9. Coastal Scents Gel Liners
10. Napoleon Perdis Romance Set.

I just cannot wait for this fast to be over

Elegant Evening Clutch Suprise

This looks like it could be a nice evening clutch, great for a party, or just for a night out and you want a touch of fancy. I mean this case is nicer then most purses I own. But its not a clutch, and i actually feel bad for putting in my purse, because I have to pull out this beautiful thing, and my purse can't compare.
This actually happens to be the Sonia Kashuk Glitter Glows Eye Palette from her holiday 2010 collection. This is my first Sonia Kashuk item and since it's not the holiday season anymore I got it for $4.65 on clearance at Target instead of the $17 it use to be.
This palette is thin and sleek. It fits in the palm of my hand. I love the silvery, glittery outside and that it feels sturdy. The inside is a different story though.
The top row has 3 eye shadows, silver glitter, white glitter and gold glitter. The bottome row has 3 liner/shadows, grey with glitter, black with glitter and brown with glitter. When I first saw this palette i was excited. I don't have any shadows quite like these and was very disappointed because I don't believe that the glitter shadows should even be considered shadows. Its basically a loosely packed glitter that goes every where and has no color pay off.
The liners, which could serve as shadows, are just so-so, to me at least. They're soft and can blend, but they need to be packed on and feel sort of dry.
This palette does accomplish what it was intended for, giving you a party glam look.

Pros: packaging, pretty colors, portable
Cons: fallout, too much glitter, no color payoff

I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone and am glad that I paid less then 5 dollars for it, so its not like I lost a lot of money. Its better then paying the original 17 dollars.
Two thumbs down
